Following a stalking incident, Livvy Fischer’s life has become derailed. Having sung for audiences since she was a child, the classically trained opera soprano is now terrified to sing publicly. Stuck in a dead-end job, she musters the courage to audition for Opera San Jose. Though she starts strong, the audition is a disaster. She decides to begin with a smaller goal—she’ll try singing at her church. Though the plan is to keep hidden and ride out the storm, Livvy becomes the obsession of a serial killer. Livvy must rely upon God, find her own courage, and trust a small cadre of protectors as she flees the hunter, escapes burning buildings, and hatches schemes to get herself and the others rescued. Yet, through all of the uncertainty and danger, the biggest surprise Livvy encounters is her feelings for her inmate rescuer.

I only intended to read the "Look inside" portion, but when it ended, I immediately bought the book. There went all my l plans for the afternoon and evening. I could barely pull myself away to make dinner. It's riveting, edgy and fast moving, with deep, profound character development.Product details

Thank you Katie for contributing to sleep deprivation!! What a "Page Turner!" Loved how you beautifully wove suspense, romance, intrigue and faith in a well-researched book that reminds us all that God has a plan and it is futile to try and be one step ahead of Him.
From the get-go I was drawn into this riveting tale and there was No Turning Back. Katie strings out the suspense while capturing a significantly transforming passage in the life of panic attack prone Livvy. The story is rich with the nuances of human connection and speaks to us about
Someone greater than ourselves. I look forward to more of Katie's perceptive writings involving the deepest yearnings of our hearts - hope, trust, and love.
This is one of the best novels I have ever read. I hope she will write another one soon.
This book was a true page turner. I was glad I started it on a Saturday morning so I could keep reading until I finished. It is great to see a Christian fiction thriller with factual knowledge of the San Francisco Bay Area. This author kept me engaged from cover to cover...
I usually don't do reviews, but this is an exceptional book. The author accurately & simply describes the wonderful, forgiving power of Jesus through her characters' lives & actions. She also highlights our human feelings, which can be overcome through the power of Jesus; showing how we are not perfect, but we are forgiven. It is Jesus' forgiveness of our sins which enables us to forgive others. It also shows no matter where God guides; He provides whatever it is we need to go through that situation.
I loved this book! I rarely have time to read so I would have to read a little at a time and I couldn't wait to start reading again and see what happened to Livvy. I don't want to spoil the ending, so I will just say that it was a great ending that took me by surprise. I loved the way the author started the book with intrique and filled in the gaps as the book continued. Her imagery was wonderful -- I felt like I was in the middle of an action film while reading. The book took serious issues and characters and reminded one to not judge until you know the full story, a great life lesson.
What a great story! So many aspects of the book suprised me. The characters and the plot were outstanding. They were so real and tangible, so easy to relate to and understand. It was so good I didn't want the book to end. Usually, im looking at the number of pages left because im trying to see if im getting closer to the good parts of a novel but not this one! Great read. I hope to read more from this author.
